We have completed the Tornado scene, Munchkin Land, Mice saving a Lion, Poppies field, and Dark Forest Scenes. The last scene “A party at the Emerald City” is coming soon.
We offer kids a scavenger hunt where they search for animals and receive a prize if they find them. By looking, children inadvertently learn about Oz. We never know how this can impact a child’s life. The Museum’s goal is to inspire reading through curiosity. We also have a small kids’ room full of Oz toys from the 1950s or later for them to play with and enjoy. There are games to play, pop-up books to play with, browse through color illustrations from original Oz books, hand puppets, Oz masks, ruby slippers, and wicked witch hats to try. Toddlers table with the yellow brick road and chairs in the form of OZ characters to sit on to take photos.
Admission price includes an experience to the museum with over 2000 artifacts related to the movie and books, the Immersive Wizard of Oz scenes, and the Immersive Van Gogh.
Yes. We do not provide handicapped chairs but encourage visitors to bring their own.
We do not show any scenes or play songs from the movie due to MGM copyright law. We are starting with Oz books from 1900 and explaining the history of Oz that caused the production of the famous Wizard of Oz movie.
Over 30 laser projectors are installed in 2100 square feet of room at the museum to show scenes accompanied by music projected to all walls and the floor.
We have completed 6 out of 7 scenes for the Wizard of Oz with 10 minutes duration and showing 12 minutes of the Van Gogh exhibit while content for the remaining Wizard of Oz scenes at the design stages.
For 12 or more visitors discounts are available at $23.99
